From Paris: Take de TER to Dijon from Gare de Lyon to station Laroche-Migennes or St. Florentin. Time table regional train Paris-Dijon TER-SNCF

TGV Paris to Laroche-Migennes (1 train per day) or TGV Montbard (frequent connections)

  • Gare TGV Paris-Montbard : 62 minutes

  • Montbard-Percey by car: 40 minutes

The chateau has a ramp for wheelchair users. The function rooms have a WC for wheelchair users. The grand gite is accessible by wheelchair. Sorry no rooms and bathrooms for  wheelchair users on the ground floor in the grand gite.

9. Is the chateau open all year round?

Form Easter 2008 the chateau will be open all year round, except for the function rooms. These are only open from April until October

Tip: Should you be travelling late in the evening over the D444, take care as the might be mist as well as crossing deer, foxes and groups of wild boar.

Route from UK

  • From Calais follow the road to Reims (toll road)
  • Reims – Troyes A26
  • At  Troyes the road splits to the A5 to Lyon in the South and Paris in the North. Follow the signs for a short distance towards Paris, and take the turn off marked for Tonnerre.

  From Troyes / St. Thibault

  • You leave the toll road at toll station St. Thibault, and drive on to a roundabout. Follow the signs to Chaource (the sign to Tonnerre has gone missing). Follow the signs to Chaource. It takes about 45 minutes from here to Chateau Percey. 

  • You will be driving on the D444. You will travel through several small villages on the way to Tonnerre. When in Chaource, take care to follow the curve of the road (left) when you pass the church.
  • Having arrived at Tonnerre, you should follow the D905 to Saint-Florentin.
  • You will pass through Flogny-la-Chapelle before arriving in the village of Percey.

As you arrive in the village, you will see the sign “Commune de Percey” with an arrow to the right. Ignore this and continue straight. You should see the Chateau on the right soon. On you left you will see Auberge de Pecheur. Take the first driveway to the right.

You have arrived. Welcome. 

 

Route within France

  • Paris – A6 Route du Soleil towards the south.

  • Take the turn-off at Auxerre towards Chablis

  • Follow signs Chablis-Tonnerre

  • From Tonnerre Follow signs for the D905 to St.Florentin

  • Drive via Flogny-la-Chapelle to Percey.

  • You will pass through Flogny-la-Chapelle before arriving in the village of Percey.

As you arrive in the village, you will see the sign “Commune de Percey” with an arrow to the right. Ignore this and continue straight. You should see the Chateau on the right soon. On you left you will see Auberge de Pecheur. Take the first driveway to the right.

From Auxerre

  • Auxerre – St. Florentin

  • St. Florentin – Tonnerre

  • After passing through Germigny you might see a sign saying 3.5 km to Percey

  • You will see the Chateau on your left after a few kilometers.

  • The turn-off for the driveway is before the start of the village Percey, just after a bend in the road with a sluice-house and a bridge.

 

Route from West Netherlands

  • Via Antwerp - Lille take the A26 (toll road) to Reims. 

  • Reims – Troyes A26
  • At  Troyes the road splits to the A5 to Lyon in the South and Paris in the North. Follow the signs for a short distance towards Paris, and take the turn off marked for Tonnerre.

  From Troyes / St. Thibault

Route from East Netherlands

  • Drive towards Belgium

  • Take the E25 to Luxemburg
  • Before you reach Luxemburg, take the turn-off Bouillon - Charlesvilles-Mezieres
  • After Sedan take the highway (toll road) via Rethel towards Reims and then via Chalons-en-Champagne to Troyes.
  • At  Troyes the road splits to the A5 to Lyon in the South and Paris in the North. Follow the signs for a short distance towards Paris, and take the turn off marked for Tonnerre.

Opening hours and other information

We re-open Easter 2008

The salon de thé will only be open by appointment / sur RDV for groups to enjoy an afternoon tea. The tearoom will allso be open during events.

Handicapped facilities

Much of the garden is reachable by wheelchair on semi-hard ground during good weather. The gallery and salon de thé are fully accessible with all facilities available. Please phone in advance if you have questions.

Animals

Dogs and other animals are welcome as long as they are on a lead. You are expected to clean up after your animals. However they are not welcome in the gites.

Languages

We speak fluent English, French and Dutch, with reasonable German.

Children

There is a swing, a little house and other toys to play with for young children. The toys belong to our daughters and they are willing to share their toys with other children
